How do you remove this screw?

I don't have a 520 so don't really know but I'll take a guess: Use a screwdriver?

It's pressed in. There are splines under the head to keep it from turning. Don't ask me how I know.
My advice… don't remove it.

It does not screw in.

I gathered that from BigKahunaFL's response. So it's like a stud to attach other things I guess. Why do you want to remove it?

I am confused as to your goal here. In your last post you said,

If you are removing the threaded post (screw) to replace the Plastic part, why are you worried about damaging the existing part? Anyway because of how the "screw" is inserted into the plastic I would put the Knurled Nut back on the end and try to gently press it out. The Knurled Nut will give more surface area to press on. No guarantees as to avoiding damage here.

As an experiment I removed and re-installed the plastic part of a lower saw guard over these studs without removing the studs. On a sample of one, nothing broke. I did it without tools, I suspect prying the plastic with something might produce undesirable results, so I just pushed it on both sides of the stud with my thumbs.

It could be the condition/age of the plastic. The guard I removed it from was in terrible condition.

That is alarming to me. The same part, as far as I know, is used on the M7 which is still in production. You probably already know this, but at one time the part (Ref 204) was called Guard Cover and PN was 514112. According to the current parts breakdown 514358 (Ref 199z) is the complete lower saw guard, includes Ref. 202 - 216, and is available (for ~$180). IIWM I would at least try calling CS, if SS is still using the part it should be in their system and they can perhaps sell you one.
