Align sawsmith 2000 blade laterally

I recently purchased a shopsmith sawsmith 2000 and I'm very happy with it once I aligned everything, until I went to put the blade surround plate back in and noticed that it's barely touching the edge of the saw blade. If I reverse the red saw guard in the table top, the blade is centered between the two edges but obviously I can't tighten it down that way. I figure I must have the wrong arbor or be missing an adjustment that would keep the blade centered in the middle. Is there an adjustment for this or do I just need a different arbor?
Just to reiterate, I'm talking about the red plate on the top of the saw table that surrounds the blade. The blade is barely touching the right side of that red plate as if the arbor isn't all the way on the spindle, but the arbor is snug against the ring on the arbor and there's no way that I can see to change anything. The saw blade is also snugly attached to the arbor and fully on the ring and the hole in the saw blade is the right size. I checked the manual but I don't see an adjustment for laterally moving the blade.
