Close call

This is just another instance of the need for safe habits. As I was setting up for dadoing, I forgot to use the stop collar. The table dropped, and the blade came through the top. Thankfully, I was using the push pad! What was a minor annoyance could have been a serious situation.

Really good reminder! I knew someone who sliced through the top of his thumb in exactly this situation. 5 Point check before flipping the switch is a "must" and adding the collar is a great idea for extra insurance.

Mistakes are easy to make but sometimes hard to admit. Thanks to sharing this important safety reminder.
