Inherited a Mark V-B

My apologies, I'm sure this is asked regularly! Just received a Mark V B from my father in-law. Said it was used a couple times and has a box full of extra blades, tools, etc. The machine is in great shape, considering thes serial number dates it at 1985.
I know nothing about these machines, but know my way around a workshop enough to not lose a finger.
Where should I start?? Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum.
Many new, or new to them, Shopsmith owners have a lot of questions when they start. I know I did when I got my first Shopsmith tool, a Mark V from my Father-in-law. Hopefully included was an Owner's Manual. That will be a good place to start. Learn about setups, Maintenance and especially Safety. If it has not been used for a while a bit of maintenance would be a good idea. If you did not get a manual I highly recommend getting one.
You said the serial number dates it as a 1985 Mark V. Up to then the only model of the Mark V was the original Table System which became the Mark V 500. When the Mark V 510 and 505 was introduced in 1985 there became a different option for the table system over the original table system. This difference will affect some choices when it comes to accessories. Older Mark V tools can be upgraded to newer Table systems. Last year my wife's uncle gave me his 1957 Mark 5 which had been upgraded to the 510 model. Knowing which model Mark V you have becomes important.
