 A local store has remanufactured Stanley Bostich Compressor with 3 nailers (CPACK3) for $199. Any reason not to buy this?
I've put off buying a compressor because of the $300 price tags and because I don't know how much I'd really use it, although I know it would came in handy sometimes.

That might be a good deal depending on what size tank you are talking about. I have recently seen a new CH 6 gal tank with gun for $99.

This would be adaquate if all you are going to do is use it for nailers etc. If you want to use sanders, or other higher consumption air tools look for a compressor that will supply the cfm (cubic feet per minute) of the largest tool you will be using, and get one slightly larger.

:) I bought it and I'm happy.
I've used it with 1 1/4" brads on several projects, a few 2" brads to repair a bird feeder, and to blow out my SS. I was surprised at how clean the SS was: I've evidently done a good job sucking dust out with my ShopVac all of these years. I made a base with casters for it so that I can roll it around the shop.
I don't plan on buying any other tools to use with it.
