Caution for the DC-3300 Handle Retrofit Kit

I got tired of pulling my DC-3300 around by the hoses whenever I needed to move it and jumped at the handle kitwhen it went on sale. I received it yesterday and installed it this morning.
The caution is for the drilling template provided in my kit. I fillowed the directions and located it on the top of the three way manifold. I center punched and drilled the holes. I then tried to install the handle but the holes were too close together by about 3/4". I compared the handle to the template and sure enough it appears that the template shrunk somewhere along the line and doesn't match the holes in the handle. By the way, the template appears to be a copy.
Not a major disaster because I then used the handle to properly locate the holes and plugged the extra holes with silicone. It appears to be just fine.
The handle itself is great. It is located just where it needs to be and just feels natural when you grab it to reposition the DC.
