Hmm..where to start...well Im glad the company/forum are back.
Ive been on an extended trip helping my mom with some medical problems..been away from the shop
goin on 6 months now.
One of the "wood" projects I took up..was to have a number of trees removed around moms house...3 of them black walnuts
that i helped plant as seeds when i was a kid some 40 + years ago.
Well-they grew and have become quite difficult as they over produce nuts which my 80 yr old mom insisted on going out
and picking up all the time...even after her trifecta this year of heart attack, anuerysm and bacteremia/sepsis.
So..during one of her hospital stints, i had all her trees cut down (heh..yes im the BAD son)
Some images related...all didnt go to waste.
I had the trees cut, milled into 5/4 x L x W ...and then i stacked them myself. Some pics of the various stages
of the process.
As well..a number of logs were left for turning blanks, which i intend to begin learning when i do get back home.
Hope you have all been well !
