Hmmm...

Never thought of using a dogwood tree as a Shopsmith extension. Guess I'll have to plant one.

Just having lunch and checked to see if the forum is still here. I sure enjoy your humor. My lovely bride even chuckled. And it is comforting to know that even the really good craftsman use a tree!

Now that gives me an idea. I actually have a dogwood tree in my yard that died this spring. It bloomed out great turned brown and now there isn't a leaf left on it. Maybe Ill just hang some green stuff on it.:D

Mark, wonder what a dogwood pen would look like? It's a slow growing tree, I'm sure it would be a hard wood...

I turned some dogwood a long time ago and it was hard. Also nice and dark brown. Ill get the chainsaw.;)
