Old jigsaw question, manual and parts needed

Hello,

I recently bought a used 520 and am enjoying exploring its capabilities. Last night while out for a walk I found an old Shopsmith Jigsaw (tubular arm, green Magna branded) in someone's trash heap. The resident of the house was gardening, so I asked him about it -- it had just been sitting in the garage on its own when he bought the place, so I rescued it from the trash heap. I also rescued a brownie main saw table and fence -- also from the same garage cleanout.

The jigsaw is externally a bit rusty, but the innards are clean and rust-free. The biggest issue is that it is missing the table. Anyone have an old table that they no longer need, or has Also, does anyone have a link to the manual and/or a schematic for this tool?

I'd be willing to swap the brownie table and fence for a jigsaw table and fence.

Thanks for any help,

Julian W in central Illinois

Table trunnion?

Looks good, but I also need the table trunnion (I think that's what it is called) that connects the table to the tool. Will email the seller and see if they have that as well -- it does not look like it is part of that sale.

Thanks!

The jigsaw manual is still available directly from Shopsmith at this link:

Thanks for that link -- this forum and the Shopsmith community in general seems to be very knowledgeable and friendly. As a newbie to the world of Shopsmith-ing I very much appreciate that. I'll have to wait until I need something else to order, though, as $7 shipping for a brochure is a bit steep.

Until you can place an order for a jigsaw manual, perhaps the following link will help: http://woodworkingjigsaw.com/

It is the older "Power Tool Woodworking For Everyone" chapter on the jigsaw and has a lot of information in it.

Thanks for the reference. Greenies, Gilmer Drives and jig saws are the 3 areas that I have become quite knowledgeable and have stock piled many parts to support repairs and rebuilding of these items. I am still looking to buy any parts (good, bad, broken or worn) to support these areas. Contact me off-line if any questions, wants or needs. Thanks.
