Banksia redux...

Back in July Charlese posted a couple pictures of turning a vase from a Banksia pod. I also frequent a sandcarving forum, and one of the members of the forum lives in Sidney Australia. He posted some photos of a morning walk he took in a national park just outside of Sidney. For your pleasure....Here's 2 photos of a Banksia pod growing on a tree. They look quite a bit different than the finished product Charlese had...

If you have a computer in your shop and you are going to turn a banksia pod - - - - DON'T unless your first make sure your computer is well covered.

Those little pieces fly everywhere!!!
