I was contemplating to use potatoes to remove the rust off the tubes. I bought
a 10 foot, 4" diameter PVC pipe & made a couple of tube containers like I saw Nick use. SO then I looked & stumbled on a thread which mentioned Evapo Rust. Some sites kill you on the shipping charges for a 5 gallon container. I ended up with a 5 gallon container of concentrate with only a $14 shipping charge to NJ from Colorado.

If you don't mind saying; where did you find that deal.

I have looked around here and have not been able to find Evapo Rust.The closest thing I can find is a rust remover sold at HD made by Krud Cutter. It does a respectable job but a quart is the biggest container they sell.

Harbor Freight is the only place I can find it, and then in only one gallon containers; so where DID you find it and to spend $14 for 80 lbs is a great deal!

I think he said he paid $14.00 for shipping. not for the evaporust

PurelyUSA.com I spent $70 for the 5 gallon concentrate & $14 for shipping. Shipping prices were much higher every place else.

Now this is making sense. It's dehydrated. The shipping cost is based on the weight of the powder and bucket and the size of the bucket.

Considering that a gallon is $19 at PurelyUSA, this is a great deal.

Did the electrolysis method tempt you at all? It's a great way to keep expenses down, it never dilutes, and.......it looks cool!!

I'm looking around for something to try that out with. Just GOTTA play around with it.

Set your jointer outside for a week and water daily!:eek: After a week you WILL have something to try it out on!:D

Just be sure to clean ALL the wax off it b4 taking it outside.
