That is a great idea. You'll not find a better extension table than that.
It'll certainly run up the value of extension tables in the on line market place.

NONE! As long as the 'rails' are aligned. These are only adjustable by way of the entire table(they are cast).
Looks like something Dusty would/has done(think router).

Don,
I got to thinking about your expanded extension table. Is there any concern about the added stress that is being applied to the table edges.
Will the cast stand up to that extra stress?

Actually, it's not my idea - I saw it on Ebay this morning....I have to agree, though. It might lead to additional stress on the table edges. Still.....

I combined two tables. Works great.
Since I hate moving my headstock/table because it's attached to a Jointech system, I often find some material didn't reach from my 500 table to the stock extension table. By adding the 2nd table the gap is minimized and cuts are safer.
Three tables wouldn't have helped my situation but might be great for panels.

A plate supporting all three by their bosses would take care of that! Spacers would be necessary also.

I thought I had a serious humidity problem out here in the ocean. But I've never seen the kind of shrinkage shown in pic 3 just from sitting out on the driveway for a while.
Btw, that expanded Ext table does seem to be a great idea.

Yes, I'm not sure what happened. Can't seem to figure out why the picture reduced to that degree...any ideas?

i actually did almost the same thing several years ago. i did not bolt the tables together, instead i cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to size and mounted all three tables through it with the legs in the center table. with my shopsmith in the basement and space a premium it serves mostly as a work table. on the other end are three 510 tables mounted of course with the tubes. makes an even larger work table.
