Source for hardwood near the Antelope Valley (Lancaster/Palmdale)?

Hello. I'm re-starting my woodworking hobby after a 4 year hiatus. Unfortunately, I discovered that my old source for lumber/hardwood has gone out of business. Are there any woodworkers out there that live in or near Lancaster/Palmdale CA and know of a good source (within 40 miles) for furnature and cabinet grade wood?

Thanks!

A reasonable source for hardwood lumber is KC's Custom Mouldings & Doors. They are located on Ave. K., kitty corner from Lowe's. Tony takes care of the lumber and Nick is the boss (as far as I can figure) Good Guys!
Most of the lumber they stock is S3S and flat sawn. Sometimes nice wider boards.

They may not have what you want on hand, as the slower construction business has caused them to only order smaller quantities of what they think they can sell in a timely manner. However, I've had good luck ordering from them to bring in a specific amount for a project. My last was 40 Bd, Ft. of rift sawn red oak.

I have also gotten lumber from Integrity Wood, located in Canoga Park. (about 60 miles) You will have to call and order from them to get your needs. Their Telephone No. can be found here -- http://www.integritywoodproducts.com/ Also very satisfied with their wood and service!

Thanks Chuck!

I drive by KC's everyday and never knew that they actually sold lumber. I'll stop by and see what they can do for me. I currently need a good supply of birch to finish a project I started several years ago. I was getting it from Stock Lumber on Ave P & 15th East. Unfortunately, they closed the Palmdale site about six months ago. Have you ever dealt with DeWolfe Lumber at Ave M & 50th West? I spoke with someone there who said that they can order whatever I need. However, I don't know of anyone that has done business with them lately.

Once again, thanks for the info!

I've been pleased with the service at Integrety Wood in Canoga Park. If needed, they will cut and size what I need from larger stock. I wish there was more response to this thread, as it would be nice to have another source of variety in the Valley area.

Stopped by DeWolfe Hardware a few years ago. Maybe 5 or 6. Prices seemed higher than the big box stores, but they had a selection.

KC's lumber entrance is on the West side of the store. Go in the open truck door.

Called Stock Lumber a few months ago. They have an open store in Santa Clarita. I asked if they were planning on opening again in the Antelope Valley - He answered yes if the economy gets better. Anyway, I thought their prices pretty high.

Sorry Gary! Wish I knew of some more!
