Shopsmith folded ?

I Have head Shopsmith foled in july does any one have infor on this.Are they under a new name? Plebel

I think for all intensive purposes, Shopsmith is still there. Nothing has changed in the way you order parts, call for assistance, etc. The economic downturn has had some affect on them, as it has for many businesses out there, so parts you order may take a while to arrive, or you may not get someone to talk to unless you go on hold for awhile. But, like many others here, I am willing to be patient because I know that what I get from them is quality and backed up by them 100%.

I placed an order last Wednesday with Shopsmith and received it today. Can't beat that for service.

I ordered the spindle chisel set on special. It shipped immediately. The free DVD offered in the special was on back order. It arrived yesterday. I would say Shopsmith is responding very well to the challenges of the economy. Further that the reorganization was a great idea and is serving us all very well. Jim
