I turned a couple of nice bottle stoppers yesterday for my son to give as a gift to a coworker. One was Olive wood and the other was Pink Ivory wood. Boy, is that Pink Ivory HARD... I purchased a set of carbide tipped HSS chisels from PSI for turning pens and was using the small gouge to make a cut in the Pink Ivory, and it TOOK A CHIP OUT OF THE EDGE of the chisel!!! Thank goodness I got the chisel sharpening attachment for the Strip Sander so I can put a new edge on it.
