need help

Post by dave_dr_david »

I just aquired a Mark V from my grandfather. I am trying to to figure everything out on it but seem to be having difficulties setting up the bandsaw that came with it. It seems I am missing a part that connects the bandsaw to the motor. It looks like a sleeve of some sort should be used. Does anyone know what this is called so I can order the part.

What you need is the Powercoupler. The side with the spring always connects to the headstock.
ShopSmith MarkV-520 with Belt Sander, Jointer, Band Saw, Strip Sander, Scroll Saw and Biscuit Jointer SPTs and a DC-3300...
Woodworking Hobbyist (Check out all my Woodworking Plans (http://vbwhiz.isa-geek.net/plans)
Aspiring Sandcarver: Breaking glass one grain at a time.
Black Powder Shooter (love the smell of burning sulfur).

I think this is what you need.

This is just the coupler.

You will need these if you don't have them:
