Just thought I'd throw this in to the mix. Last April, when jcbrowne posted his problem that generated all this - I measured the lag on my SS at 1/8" rotational movement of the saw tooth. Today I measured it again, as I thought the lag was more noticeable. It was! Today it measures 1/4". Looks like I'll be doing a quill fix-it job in the foreseeable future. Hope not too soon.
Octogenarian's have an earned right to be a curmudgeon.
