Still not devoting all the time I should to my projects, but life seems to get in the way. My hockey responsibilities are really cutting into my hobby. First I spend two to three hours before each game day trying to find replacement players for those missing, and then on game day (Tuesday & Friday) my mornings are taken up playing or making sure everything goes as planned. Then, by afternoon, I need a good long nap.
Then there are the leaves that are falling faster than I can rake them.
The harvest bin is progressing fairly well, the carcass is almost complete. However, I made one of my usual bloopers in that I made two sides with holes predrilled for plugs 3/8" in from the front and 7/8" in from the back. The only trouble was they were identical instead of reversed. I had actually thought of that when cutting the pieces, but promptly forgot when drilling.
I amazed myself by making another side piece without too many nasty words. Maybe I'm maturing.
The next step is to construct the drawers. Some of you may remember the fun I had last time working with warped BB plywood. Hopefully this will not happen this time as I went out today and bought a sheet that has no warp. But then again, I always manage to get myself in some trouble so who knows what may happen.
I had hoped to make a rocking horse before the craft show in Dec., but I don't think I'll have time so I'll have to find some smaller projects to complete my inventory.
Well I guess it's time to get back to the phone lines.
Have a Safe and Fun week!
