New member intro
Good morning all,
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is David and live in Florida. My father just gave me his Shopsmith 5 since he doesn't use it anymore. He's not as steady and sure of his ability he says. He has built numerous items for our family and friends. I plan on many projects but first I have to finish one another project first, rebuilding an old Harley that is taking up shop space at this time. This may take another few months. So I may not be very active at first but after my oil and grease project is completed I'll surely be in need of advise and guidance. Until then measure twice and cut once and count all your fingers before and after. ODB

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.
Welcome from Virginia Beach, VA. You will find a wealth of knowledge on here. You ask a question and I am sure some has been there or done that to answer it.. You can see by my post count that I just started on here too. I have had the Mark V for a couple yrs now. But with working for the Navy and being out to sea alot I could not use it. I've long since retired (as Harry Chapin says). So now I am gathering knowledge from this forum..
I see said the blindman, to his deaf wife, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

Welcome. I too come by on the occasional basis and find TONS of info here.
One caveat before finishing that bike, wax your Shopsmith with Johnson's ORIGINAL Paste Wax (for furniture).
Rumor has it that Florida has humidity and that is the enemy of tubes, tables and the like. So......
