Has anybody had any good luck finding or using something like this in freeware for the computer?
I seem to be running into more and more uses for something like this. Hate to have to buy a commercial unit, but haven't found any plans to make one. Might be able to get by with a program if it is anywhere near accurate and easy to use.

I'm missing something. What are you going to use to print the enlarged pattern?

Try Irfan View: http://www.irfanview.com. It enlarges and shrinks and I seem to use it a lot. But if you enlarge something larger than your printer can handle, how will you print it out?

Transparency sheets, overhead projector, roll of brown paper, fine black magic marker, all version 1.3a, service pack 2.

This is a program that I have used for years http://www.rapidresizer.com/ It is not free but you do get a free trial period before purchase. It is easy to use and very accurate. If the pattern is larger then a 81/2x11 paper it prints out as many pages as needed then you can piece them together. I do a lot of wood carvings and this is very helpful to resize to fit the wood I have on hand or to resize a pattern to a size that suits my needs. I hope this is helpful if you have any questions send me a PM.

The intention is to use a standard printer to print out enlarged segments of the original pattern. That's why I mentioned a need for some degree of accuracy.

Operative word in this request, was "Free". OH Projector would be perfect... but I don't have one. I'm retired, work on shop budget limited to profits on what I produce. Its the way I started my shop during hard times. I'm returning to production mode as cottage industry vs gift mode shop, and it will stand alone for resouces.

I got 3 recommends including yours after I posted this request on SS_Users@yahoogroups.com same time as I posted here (at Gene Howe's suggestion. Thanks... I'm giving it a whirl.
