I was asked by my 3 yr old niece if "Uncle Bob" could make her something out of wood for Christmas. How could I say no! Does anyone have any quick toy plans or ideas for a girl. It seems like so much is related towards boys. Like trucks, trains, ect.

Whatabout a baby doll cradle? It is kind of simple construction. 4 sides and a rocker at each end.

I would sugest a doll cradle as well.

Some are quicker than others, but the one I am working on is more complicated and could take a couple of weeks to make but it would be an heirloom item. I think I got my plans from Winfield.

Wood Magazine also had plans of a simpler one a few years back. They suggest cherry which would make it expensive but again a piece to cherish.

Good luck
