What are you most memorable moments of 2009?

What do you remember most about 2009? A birth? A marriage?
I remember most when my 18 year daughter ran away to Buffalo, NY. She was gone until thanksgiving then called her mother and me to send her bus fare to VA.. Which we did. Some might comment on that, but we love her..

That's easy: Silver Salmon fishing on the Pacific Ocean near Ketchikan Alaska for a full week with two of my adult children. Three of us came home with enough of the worlds finest fish to share with friends and family. Even the smiles on the members of our party as I gave each one a Cherry bat I had turned for them can't match the time with my kids.

Crossing the Mackinac Bridge, always a major event - especially when Northbound.

You are knot the only parent with that experience! 12 years ago I arranged for a plane ticket for my homeward bound 18 year old daughter whom had gone with her boyfriend to Texas. As for 2009, I will remember how devistating the economy was and how the US plunged itself into debt.

No runaway kids here, but I agree with the economy thing. I hope it won't be remembered as the beginning of the end of the greatness of America, but I fear it will be.

More positive... 2009 will be remembered for my mom's 60th birthday party, catching up with a lot of old friends on Facebook that I haven't seen in years, and getting a Mark V. (Hopefully 2010 will be remembered for actually using the Mark V.)
