I have this model 640 Magna 6'' belt sander that I am repairing and looking for a parts diagram that shoes how it goes together and how to adjust it. I have all the parts to it, but need it to put it back together. also needs welding done to it, one side is broken in two places. Also what is a good way to clean the aluminum. I read some where on here that they used braso and a wheel that looks like it was plasic. If any one can point me in the right direction I would be real happy.

Hi Clyde,

Here's the link to my posting on using Brasso and a Weiler, coarse nylon cup brush attached to my 3/8" drill to clean up my sander.

It's working great now.

Edit added: Mike reminded me to be sure and wear a respirator or at least a dust mask. Of course, you need good eye protection also.
