Dual Saw

Post by tryinhard »

I just saw an infomercial on a device called a Dual Saw. Looks like a small hand grinder, but has counter-rotating cutting saw blades, which look to be about 5 inch diameter. Claims to be no kickback because of the counterrotation of the two blades. Claims to cut anything (shows it cutting all sorts of woods and metals (even diamond deck).

Anyone have one or has used one?

It does sound interesting. Wonder if anyone has tried using it.

They had that on the TV show "Pitchmen" with the late Billy Mays and Andy Sullivan. They cut a car in half. A firefighter invented it.

I looks like they would work as advertised for rough cutting. I don't think you could do much finish work with it though.

On one of our 10:00 news. They have a segment called Does It Work every Wednesday night. They featured it on one of there shows, and it did work. They go out and find someone to try it out, so it is no professional using it. They cut all kinds of things with it.

I haven't seen any of the commercials, but aren't two blades rotating opposite of each other counterproductive?

Not sure how this one compares with the one sold by Sears, but you might want to read these.
