I use and reuse the Shopsmith bags. Basically, when they get full I remove and dump it out in the woods behind my house. I then reuse the bags until they get holes in them. I patch small holes with plastic packaging tape. I can usually use them 10 to 15 times before they become too worn.

Good idea! My wife has cats; need I say more?

BTW, regarding your signature line; I beg to differ. If you do knot allow for taxes, you will still go into debt!

I use 30 gal 3 mil trash bags. I have a source but can not say, The new hefty bags look like they would work, it needs to be at least 30 gal. Dave

I do knot know why, but I am glad that I can see into the bag. I have knot been able to find another source for the clear bags, but groundsman is right; large garbage bags will work if you do knot mind "going blind".

I felt this past weekend sale on the Shopsmith clear bags was the best time to restock. Hey even the price was okay. Jim

Had I not been interested in several dust collector upgrades I may have missed the bags. They were poorly illustrated. Fortunately I did notice them and ordered two packages. Jim:D:):p

Gosh I seem to be gloating, Sorry about my poor excuse for an attidude.

I placed a small size garbage can under the collector and put a regular hefty bag in it. Seems with removing the bag from the collector without the can, I get more dust on the floor than in the bag. Now I just unclip the bag and drag the can out, then tie the top and not a big mess anymore. Put the bag in the regular trash can for pick up at the curb.
