I got this information on the Woodworking Magazine web blog about the Fatmax Coping Saw, which I believe is made by Stanley. Like any tool, you need to look at it closely before buying it.

Hi Ron,
Many Stanley tools are now made in China. Stanley moved manufacturing there to save on labor. They have knot passed on the savings to us. Stanley continues to charge "quality" prices for (IMHO) "Made in China junk".

If the determination that something is junk is made by reading the certificate of origin label then Stanley makes junk.

HOWEVER, if one applies objective reasoning and technical analysis to the process, some of the Stanley products may not be junk.

SOME of the Stanley products are still made in the US. I did state that it is my opinion. I am entitled to it, as you are yours. Stanley does make quality tools. Stanley does make junk. I own some of each.
