Lathe Duplicator Candlestick Plans

I just received my lathe duplicator and watched the video. He made a candlestick and said that the patterns were in the owner's manual. I can't seem to find it. I looked in the Mark V manual and PTWFE, but no luck. Does anyone have the patterns, or know where to find them?

As this is my first post, I guess this is a good time for a brief introduction. I've been a Mark V owner since 1985, but for the past 15 years or so it was used primarily for home repair/renovation. I recently got back into the joy of woodworking and upgraded my 500 to a 520. WOW! What a difference!

I just got mine and saw the same thing on the dvd. Remember this was a remake from 1985 it may be the these plans were only from that time period when the tape was made and when the manual was printed. A good question to the group and maybe a call to ShopSmith would help. Thanks for asking I will be curious to see the outcome of this thread.

Could they be in the "self study guide" that is part of the Mark V owner's manual? I'll try to remember to look through mine this weekend.

Good idea. I sent an email, and got a response within a few hours. Those Shopsmith CS folks are great!!!

I've attached the file (hope I did it right), as I'm sure there are a few others who took advantage of the email special on the duplicator, and may be looking for the plans.

Michael,
Did this come from shopsmith?? What did they say. And by the way thank you I think I will do like you and this will be my first lathe duplicator project. Not sure when I can get it the shop is still thawing out yet and the mud is horrible.
Thank you for posting the plans.

Yes, it came from Shopsmith. They didn't say anything, just "Thanks for the inquiry..." and sent a second email containing the scanned image. The page most likely was scanned from the original manual, as you can see the 3-hole punch and page 24 on it.

I have a LD made in 1990 and the candlestick plans are indeed in the manual. Alec
