Head Rest Issues

Post by tkhudson »

In the midst of tear down on my Greenie and I have noticed that some of the holes for the countersunk bolts on the Headrest Brackets are broken out. The previous owner had "Macguyvered" this by running a small strap over the broken hole and bolting above and below. Id say the legs had taken a strong sideways load and collapsed diagonally, ripping the bolts out of the holes in the headrest brackets on the inside portions of the legs

Im sure this has been addressed before... what have you all done in this case?
The repairs are strong, but do look kind of "dog patch" to say the least.
