here is something i got with some SS parts i ordered on ebay
i have now clue what it is
maybe you might
has no markings on it and there are 2 that are the same

Those sure look to be a pair of kickback pawls for a tablesaw. -Missing the mounting/splitter assembler. (Are there prizes for winning?):D

do you have a pic of what they would look like compleat
i still not sure what im looking at
edit i also have 2 sets of round disk than i think are saw blade balancers
ill post another pic
there are 2 sets
ones red 5/8 hole no markings ones gray 1/2 hole markings is ID-5000-53-31
i know what i think there for ther some type of balancer for small saw blades
lower left hand corner is the grey one

Check out part #199. The items on the side are the kickback pawls. This might give you some sort of visual what kartoffelkopf is talking about.

Yes, they do look like kickback pawls but they are not for the Shopsmith Upper Saw Guard.
This is a picture of a saw guard that I have with pawls that look very much like what is in question.

Don't be confused by the set up. This saw guard is clamped to the top of my WorkMate for the photo shoot only.
