Just received this accessroy for my bandsaw and installed it on the table of the bandsaw and was very happy. The next day when I returned to the shop, I glanced at the bandsaw and noticed the table now has a noticable tilt to it toward what I consider the front of the table - the face of the table perpendicular to the teeth of the blade. The fence aparently is quite heavy creating the tilt. Is this a known problem with a solution or have I missed something during the installation?


Any help would be appreciated as I am at a loss in how to correct the tilt.

The table is designed to 'tilt'. Is the lock tightened?????

Along with checking the trunnion for being locked, you may also want to check the plastic support parts inside the trunnion, such as part no. 38 in this view:

The cast-iron bandsaw tables had metal parts throughout the trunnion system, but the aluminum-table bandsaws have some plastic support components which can break if under too much pressure. They are replaceable if there is any problem.

The trunnion is located on the opposite side of the face to which I am referring so when unlocked the table tilts up to 45 degrees to the right. I do have the aluminum table and was not aware of any plastic parts. i will look at part 38 and see if it is broken or damaged. The tilt has occurred only since installing the fence. As far as i can tell the tilt should not interfer with using the saw as the blade is clear and operates just fine. It was just surprising to see the table tilting the way it is.

a picture would really help. if your table is not perpendicular to the blade you will have problems cutting curves. straight cuts would not be a problem. but it sounds like something is not right.

I have had to replace the plastic part that has been mentioned here but I do not recall that when broken it caused the problem you are having.
