Shopsmith standalone sharpener

Just curious if anyone has ever run into one of these standalone sharpening units that are shopsmith branded. It came with the shopsmith I got off of craigslist.

If all you got is what's in the picture, then you're missing some parts. If memory serves, they were branded SS but made by WEN (Model 2901). Works well (with the sharpening guides) for jointer blades, chisels and the like. For reference, use this Item Number 140383583165 on a well known auction site to see what it should look like complete.

I have that grinder, you are missing a tool rest that can be tilted to various angles for sharpening. And a felt wick that goes in to the slot below the wheel, the wick pulls water up from below to keep the wheel wet while you are sharpening your tools. I have used mine for years to sharpen my carving chisels.

[ATTACH]7984[/ATTACH]the pictures above will show the two parts that are missing. The wick fits in the front compartment and folds under the wheel, and the tool rest bolts on to the sides.

Ah hah - I found the metal plate and the tiny angle setter. The wick seems nowhere to be found, and the knobs seem to be missing (or re-appropriated). I suppose my curiosity has been satisfied.
