5/8 Arbor Question

I bought a couple used 5/8" arbors off Ebay for my Model 500. They came with rubber gaskets, but are too big for the arbors....
What are the gaskets for? Are they the one's that fit on the quill?

I cannot tell how thick they are but I vote yes on fitting the quill

Thanks Bill...they look to be a good 1/8" thick or so. Does the spacer gasket on the quill ever wear out?

I'm with Bill! Do they wear out? Don't think so, but maybe they can stretch, and become loose.

Hi,
The rubber spacer was a replacement for the aluminum spacer when you upgraded from the metal lower saw guard to the plastic ones. Yes it mounts on the quill, between the headstock and the ring on the quill.
I don't know if these are current part numbers but the rubber spacer was 501307 and the aluminum one was 555070.

They are rubber spacer washers intended to be installed between certain lower saw guards and the quill. I do not recall which guards required the spacer washer.
