Used Craftsman radial arm saw

Hey guys. I have a chance to buy a circa 1980's Craftsman radial arm saw. Runs great, sharp blade and seems complete. Has anyone here have any experience with such a saw? In shop class I only used portable craftsman power tools.

I've got one that I use for cross cutting. Takes up a fair amount of space but works well.

I have one of these as well. It comes in handy for all sorts of cuts in addition to crosscutting, especially heavy stock, although I'm not that fond of ripping on it. One thing you'll want to check out if you pick it up is the recall program by Emerson Tool Company that made these for Sears. If the saw qualifies, you can get an upgrade saw guard and fiberboard table by sending them your model number and serial number. Check it out here:
