three step 10er pulleys

trying to find a new motor pulley for my 10 er wondering if there is any reason this one wouldnt work http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/3LC24?Pid=search

It should, it is the headstock pulley that has an odd sized bore, 13/16". The motor pulley is a standard bore and should be matched to whatever size your motor shaft is. Again, you never know what speed(s) people are trying to achieve. I have seen these machines with 3450 rpm motors. I have toyed with setting one up as a shaper with the higher speed motor. Anyway in theory, tension should be released before moving the belt position and then retensioned after.JPG40504 wrote:THAT is more what I would have expected as a replacement for a '10' motor pulley. Upon more thought(on my part) you be correct re tensioning.
