... and she snapped a few photos of the pantry unit and one of the two matching bookcases I'm building for her brother and his new wife. some of the adjustable shelves were still drying so the cabinets look a bit sparse in the photos.

So here are a few photos of the pantry unit and bookcases as they stand right now. More photos to come, we just got the new camera today and still going thru the learning curve with it I hope I'm posting this in the appropriate forum, if not, admin can feel free to move or delete it. Thanks for taking time to look.

Thanks guys, I had another photo that I couldn't get to attach due to size allocation and my photo editing capabilities and programs leave much to be desired. Hopefully, between the wife and I, we can figure out how to adjust them in the camera. As they are I had to reduce them to 20% of the original size.
Now if I can get 3 miniature schnauzers to all co-operate with me today, I'll get back to the shop and get the last bookcase assembly started. I got the pin holes done with the router and home-made jig yesterday, so that I could devote today to gluing, clamping, and the like. Well look, here comes one of Dewey's little helper's now ...............

Don't adjust the camera to take smaller sized photos! You will lose quality that way. Keep all of the ORIGINAL pictures, as taken with the camera, at the highest size and resolution possible. Resize and edit copies of those originals. Burn the originals to DVD as a backup. Upload the pictures you want to share to some place like Photobucket. You can resize and do some basic editing very easily there.

My sister-in-law just finished high school and my wife wanted to make her a custom photo booklet/album thingy from pictures she (my sis-in-law) had taken over her high school years. But none of the pictures were of sufficient quality because she simply uploaded them to MySpace (which automatically resizes them smaller), then deleted the originals. Those resized MySpace pictures were too low in quality for good prints.

Thanks for the eye edit job mickyd Max was my first gift to myself when I left Lowe's to go into furniture building. I'd wanted a schnauzer for over 30 years and couldn't afford the time to spend with one until I started my little home shop. All 3 of our mini schnauzers are rescues.


heathicus, thanks for the advice, I'm thinking I need to stick with woodworking and leave the tech stuff to the younger generation. I'd still have a phone on the wall that you crank if I could.

Great looking job on the cases. The new camera took good pictures.

I recommend 'IrfanView' for editing/resizing. It is a downloadable freebie!
