Home Anodizing???

Found an interesting link that details the process of anodizing your own aluminum parts... Be aware, it uses sulfuric acid in the process, but it looks as if the results are great. Believe it or not, they use RIT Dye in the coloring portion of the anodizing process. You can read about it HERE.

I can just see MickyD when he re-does Pinky, with pink anodized aluminum parts rather than polishing them out... ;)

Saw a gal in a 15-yr old Honda with fresh new Pink paint today. I just thought the body-shop folks must have enjoyed that!

Great link Tom. I will try this process for sure!!! Anytime I see a battery charger / electrolyte bath, it peaks my curiousity. .....hum....anodized pinkie.....
