Hello all,
Just took delivery of a Mark V 520 today in Emu Plains NSW Australia. Just wondering if there would be any other Mark V owners in NSW or anywhere in Australia.
Cheers,
David

Welcome to the forum, David. I am certain that you will enjoy you time using the Mark V. I don't know if you will find neighbors with a Shopsmith but you have found the forum. I hope you visit here regularly.
Wax and lubricate that puppy right away.
Is this a new unit or from a previous owner. Either way, I would also perform a very meticulous verification of alignments. Alignment is important for a variety of obvious reasons. Safety (yours) being the most important. An "out of alignment table or fence" can be the cause of serious kickback.

Welcome to the Shopsmith forum. I won't be redundant to Dusty's good advice.
Keep coming back. There's a lot of helpful experienced "Shopsmithers" here.

Welcome to the forum David. I hope you enjoy your new shopsmith as much we do ours. If you have not already seen them here is a web site for the “Sawdust Sessions” a very helpful group of how to videos about the shopsmith.

You will find a wealth of information on this forum about the shopsmith and woodworking with it. I have enjoyed Australia “WoodworkForum”.
There are some great and friendly woodworkers down there.

Welcome David. There are a number of resources available to you from this site. Besides all of the knowledgeable users who are very helpful, there is also an online version of Power Tool Woodworking For Everyone located here: http://www.shopsmith.com/academy/welcome.htm. Also a number of informative videos called Sawdust Sessions located here: http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/Sawdust_Sessions.htm.
Hope the machine goes back together smoothly. The manual is with the headstock in Alexandria.]

David,
Welcome to the best woodworking forum on the net! You can click on the 'search' button at the top of the screen and search on 'Australia'. That will help you locate other Aussies.
Sincerely,
Ron309753

Thanks Mark and to everyone else for the very warm welcome to the forum. I feel very at home.
Now Mark, I like the Google map thing. How do I add my Australia location?
Cheers,

I attempted to 'put you on the map in Aus, but I may have messed placemark 96 up. My apologies to you both!
P.S. I relocated Lokerd to NSW.
