Hello eveyone! I'm a new user of the forum and think all of you for being here.

Does anyone remember the model number of a tablesaw that Shopsmith made at one time. It was not a do all tool, mainly just a tablesaw. I purchased one about fifteen years ago and need to buy some parts for it. It is in storage and will be a bit before I am able to go get it, I would like to have the parts when I get home with it.

Would appreciate any information that would help in buying parts.

Thanks,
dcb

There were 4 models of the SawSmith 2000 (see attached). The cabinet and internal components were identical from model to model. What differentiated the models were the length and type of rails, type of rip fence and the quantity of extension tables.
There are exploded diagrams in the instruction manual. If you don’t have a manual I can scan the diagrams and e-mail them to you.
Parts like the stock rails and fence, table inserts, and internal components are extremely rare and hard to find.

Thanks Ron,

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and have updated my profile.

The part that I remember I need is the large plastic nut that controls the tilt. Once I pick the saw up I'm sure there will be some other items.

Thanks again,

Sawsmith 2000 parts

I purchased a used sawsmith about 6 months ago. It had the same broken part. I contacted Shopsmith with the part number listed in the manual(516461 - clamping hub ). They had a few left. It also was a metal replacement not plastic bakelite material. Also the manual that came with this Sawsmith did not show four models, just three. :)
