I would imagine that this question has been asked before, but I am wondering what everyone is using for replacement bags for their DC3300 Dust Collector.

I know Shopsmith.com has them for sale, but with the price for a bag of six plus shipping costs plus sales tax.... this makes them a wee bit expensive. I know theirs are 30 gal 4-mil clear plastic. I can't seem to find this size (gal and mil thickness) anywhere else.

What do most owners on this forum use?

I empty the Shopsmith bag into a larger "contractor's" bag, and then reuse the Shopsmith bag many times until it fails, usually a split, or I snag it on something. Actually, even these minor defects can be repaired with celephane tape.

Whenever Shopsmith has a sale, I purchase several sets of bags, and now, with the way I use them, I probably have a supply that will last many years.

2o years ago I ran the low grade division of a large hardwood mill in Southern Indiana. EPA visited us routinely. Turns out red oak saw dust is a hazardous waste.

Yes Sir, my mode of operation exactly. I currently believe I have a lifetime supply of the Shopsmith bags on hand. Then again once the new shop is completed and assuming the folks in power are as successful as it appears they will be at putting me out of business, I may go through DC3300 bags faster than ever before.
