? serial number not listed

I have a ER that the serial number is not listed and any of the pages that show them, It is ER20899 so i'm assuming it was made in 1953 sometime. Does this sound correct? Thanks
The Shopsmith web site doesn't list the serial numbers & mfg dates for the 10ER. The Mark 5 replaced the 10ER and it was introduced in 1953. The 10ER (original version was the 10E) was produced from late 1947 through early 1953.
Based on your SN, and comparing it to the survey database at the 10ER Yahoo group, I would guestimate your ER as having been born early/mid 1950.
