Interesting spamming method from that "raj" guy. Looks to me like it's a bot copying posts from forums, then pasting them on other forums where certain keywords match.

I was thinking the same thing regardin a 'bot'. I wonder how many more "raj" users we will see. I count two currently.:(

I own a dozen email lists and the spammers are getting harder and harder to keep at bay. I have them all set to where everyone is on moderated status when they join then if they post a valid message I set them to unmoderated but stuff is beginning to leak through the cracks. Some are getting around Yahoo's settings somehow. I am also seeing a few that join and actually post a legit first message then start the spamming. In other cases regular members get their email ID hijacked and the spam starts coming in that looks like it is from long term members. I can't moderate all messages, one list alone is over 1,300 members.
I would like to see some of the scammers and spammers doing serious time. A few hundred "serious" examples would cut the numbers way down. Why should they stop now? There are no real steady consequences and there are plenty of fools out there to keep it very profitable for them.
If they would just catch them and turn them over to me I could "re-train" them... :D

Any suggestions on what we should be doing to reduce the pain should our email ID get hijacked? Should we be using a sacrificial email address on forums? I use my primary one.
