For those who caught my other thread, I recently traded this pile of wood

into a Mark V 510

I decided the right thing to do was rehome that 510. The guy who ended up bying it was replacing a Mark VII that he got from his dad. As with many Mark VII headstocks, the speed control cam had melted. He was going to take his Mark VII to the dump, but I asked him to bring it by instead. Here she is in all her glory.

Here is a shot of the melted cam

Is the Mark VII complete and just needs the cam and bearing?
I think that I can fix the bad bearing and make a new cam.

I could sure use the new cam if you can make one for me. I miss my Shopsmith Mark VII and want to get it back in action. If anyone is making these let me know.
