I swear there used to be a list of Mark VII ( Older, as in Magna Corp) available parts or cross-compatible parts, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

I'd like to get a 5/8 Arbor for my MarkVII magna, but there's a separate listing for the 500 vs the 505,510,520. Anyone know which will fit mine?

Also, although I've cleaned and polished and lubricated the quill tip(arbor receiver?) getting the Arbor on and off is extremely difficult (mallet required). Is this a common problem? I noticed a very slight ridge a quarter inch down from tip, almost looks like teeny weld bead, but can't imagine why itd be there. Should I file it down?

Do not overlook the arbor may be the offending part! If you have a lathe center or some other attachment that will easily slip on/off a 5/8" shaft(There are two on the back end of the headstock) use it as a reference to repair the shaft(file/burnish)[NO MORE MALLET!!!!] Then direct your attention to the arbor(remove the saw blade while doing this).

Keep in mind the quill shaft has a tapered flat shaft that is round(no taper flat) at the end(this prevents accidental slipping off the shaft[usually]). That means the set screw must be backed out much further than to merely loosen an adapter on the shaft if you intend to remove it from the shaft.

Throw that mallet(or hide it) away. When something does not 'fit' properly, determine why!

The table on the Mark VII is similar in width to the Mark V 500 saw, so it looks like the 500 is the one to get.
