Came across a (new) still in the box Magna Jigsaw awhile ago, Dont know much about it and I think it needs oil in it before running? Lost the tag on what kind of oil?
Anyone know anything about this unit?
Appreciate the input thanks

Most everyone on here, including myself use air compressor oil.
Like to see a photo of a new in box unit if it's not too much trouble.

May not be a problem for you because it's never been used but the gasket under the front cover often leak. I made a new one from gasket material from the auto parts store.
Does the NIB unit have an owners manual? If so it would be great if it could be scanned and posted. The one floating around on the net looks to have been copied many times and kinda hard to read.

Please. I think we'd all love to see the owners manual. I tried to win a couple bids on ebay for one but got out played.

I have the magna jigsaw with the manual. I will scan it later today and post it to my website. The manual needs a thorough cleaning but it's still legible.
After I have it uploaded I'll edit this post.
I scanned it and you can view it
here.
Stay safe everyone

I have had Ford Transmission oil in mine for over 20 years. Have made a lot of sawdust.

I've always wondered about Marvel Mystery Oil. I hear that stuff creeps everywhere. Or Slick 50 ???
My guess, in this application, any oil not too thick would work well.
