When I rotate my iphone, the screen rotates as well. So here's a crazy idea for the next generation PowerPro: The control panel should have a touch screen display that rotates when you raise it to drill press mode. This way you can easily read the display.

You are kidding, right? Look how long the community waited for the PowerPro. I will be dead and buried before this change happens.

Well, Michael - that is truely an interesting proposal. I think it stops right there - at interesting.

Probably the hardest new habit to learn when using the a PowerPro is remembering to use the touch pad to shut down the machine rather than flipping the power switch. Every time the switch is thrown, the user has to start all over to set the machine at other than 500 RPM.

After a while of use the "feel" of the touch pad becomes second nature. There is no need to look at the display after getting the speed set.

This is kinda like the no need to paint one end of the power coupler. Any more, I feel the spring on the coupler and that goes toward the headstock.
