I saw this in a catalog on a flight a couple weeks ago and would love to make one. Has anyone ever seen plans? Usually I am an improviser, but I think that proportions to maintain balance are pretty important for this.

Good call, fiatben. SWMBO happened to be standing behind me when I opened the link and put in an order for eight units. At least two customized for UGG's and two for Berkenstocks.

Maybe so! But it is also a seat/bench, and/or a bedside type table. Some folks would find it very useful!

As said - some folks would like it! You can buy one for "only $339.00.

Seems making one would save more than the $90 off of the original price.

No plans, but there's another very similar bench - size is -

Workbench Magazine, I believe it was, has a set of plans for a bench like that (or was it Woodsmith????) It was on the cover, white and maybe 2 years ago???
I don't keep my WB back issues buy maybe it would jog someones memory.

That looks nice, but what happens to the shoes when you fold it up? Would it be better with pull out drawers, or shelves with a couple of doors, then the shoes would stay flat and not standing on the toes ?
