Just bought a Mark V

Post by veropierre »

Did it last night at the MN State fair.

I saw it for the first time in 2000 and was  but I already had a table saw, band saw etc...

Last April 24th, my car started a fire in the garage burning down the house but 2 rooms. We all got out safely in time but all our belongings were gone.

We were very well insured so, we have more than enough money to replace everything.

From a very bad event, we get a new house, new things including a Mark V :D .

I can't wait to receive it...

A question though, do you recommend the 520 pro upgrade?

Glad to hear you realised your dream. I hope it lives up to your expectations - mine does. :)

I would be happy to recommend the 520 updrade. Apart from anything else, you get better accuracy with the rip fence. The whole thing has a "chunkier" feel to it and is easier to set up the table alignment rails, by the use of thumbscrews just under the rails, instead of the 510 system, which partially "hides" the tightening thumbwheels.

I'd also recommend that you order the Lift Assist. It makes life soooo much easier. (See my review on the Reviews Forum).
Regards,

Alan.
