As I have said before I am much more a woodcarver than a wood worker. But I have been working on improving my woodworking skills. I have been going though the Shopsmith training book once again. I only had a few project books. Mostly making toy and plywood furniture projects. Last month I ordered some Woodsmith books. They are a 4 book set, hardbacks, containing their 2006 though 2009 magazine projects and their tips and techniques. They came today. I was not sure what I was getting. But they are very nice. Well put together and good clear directions. What this novice needed. I am glad I ordered them. I am working on storage and shelving for the wife’s craft room. But when that is done I think my first project out of my new books will be a machinist tool chest for some my carving tools. Probably more projects in these 1200 pages than I will have time left to do.
