Does anyone know if the current version of the Shopsmith Bandsaw will work with a 10ER???

Will it work? Yes. BUT... it will take a bit of work and/or money on your part to make it work.

Once upon a time, Magna Engineering (makers of the original Shopsmith 10E/R and the Mark V), created a kit to mount a bandsaw to the 10ER. This included a special bracket and a replacement upper pulley that has a splined hub on the end of it to accept the power coupler. But these kits are now rare and expensive if you can find one.

Alternatives exist. You can engineer something on your own as several people have done. Or you can buy the parts necessary. I think there are a couple people who make brackets and pulleys (or just the hub) that will fit on an ER. You should be able to find their stuff on eBay.

Although it CAN be done, my recommendation is to just buy a cheap, old, used Mark V from Craig's List to power the bandsaw.

Orrrr Make a stand and mount a 'cheap' 1/2hp motor with belts/pulleys!;)

Yeah, but that doesn't give you another Shopsmith.

And have you priced those motors lately? Unless you luck upon one through Craig's List or something, they ain't cheap... I wonder if a motor out of an old clothes dryer would work...
