I've been having some fun in the garage lately and finished some things.

The other day I was out and when I got home I found that Brick1 (Bill) brought me a gift.

The color and spalting on this piece of aromatic cedar is amazing. This will make a beautiful pen set I think. Thank you Bill

Here's a pic of an open box and the lid. I didn't finish the inside yet because I'm deciding how. I think I want to apply flocking or maybe a satin liner or something like that.

You are right sir. I cut the corners off the boxes first and cut the tops afterwards.
Here is the set up I used to cut the corners"

The table was set at 45˚. After I clipped the corners off the box I glued the mahogany on. After sanding all of that smooth I taped the top to the box and sanded the top to match the box with the disk sander.
